Ultimate Endless

Red Lobster originally offered its Ultimate Endless Shrimp promotion on Mondays (traditionally a slow day in the restaurant biz) and on special occasions. For a mere $20, customers got two shrimp dishes and two cheddar biscuits. After showing a “clean plate” (Children in China are starving and you can’t finish what is put in front of you!), the shrimp dishes and biscuits just keep on coming.

The promotion proved so popular that Red Lobster expanded it to every day beginning in June of this year. Hungry customers flocked to the restaurant.

Red Lobster fans commemorated their gluttony on Tik Tok. There is video evidence of 86 shrimp consumed in one sitting. Tik Tok also showed a clever customer surrepitiously filling three to-go boxes with shrimp.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Red Lobster suffered an $11 million loss over the summer, much of which was due to the Ultimate Endless Shrimp promotion. Henceforth, the price is raised to $25 (still a great deal) but customers are limited to four shrimp dishes.

It’s the end of endless.
