The Almighty Speaks

Most Pennsylvanians thought that it was Donald J. Trump who inspired Doug Mastriano to run for governor last year. Donnie campaigned alongside Doug and MAGA symbols were all over Doug’s ads and literature. After all, it was State Senator Mastriano who introduced a bill to grant PA’s electoral votes to Donnie in 2020 and Doug chartered three buses to bring “patriots” to D.C. on Jan 6. Donnie and Doug were the proverbial “two peas in a pod”.

Donnie’s endorsement didn’t help. Doug lost the governorship by nearly 20 points.

Now Doug is considering for a run for the US Senate. Since the Trump endorsement didn’t work last time, Doug is claiming that God is behind him in 2024. Doug’s campaign manager Vishal Jetnarayan, claims that he speaks directly to God. Prophet Julie Green introduced Doug at a QAnon event in Gettysburg by reciting a message she claimed to receive from on high. “Yes, Doug, I am here for you, and I have not forsaken you,” Green claimed, reading the supposed message from God. “The time has come for their Great Fall and for the Great Steal to be overturned. So keep your faith in me.”

God doesn’t speak directly to humans very often. He spoke to Adam & Eve, Cain, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Samuel, Jesus, and, two thousand years later, Doug Mastriano’s campaign manager. That’s some select company for our boy Doug.

The likely GOP candidate for Senate in 2024 is Dave McCormick, a hedge fund manager with (possibly) more money than God. Now that The Almighty has declared his preference in the race, it will be interesting to see if He puts the Seven Deadly Plagues on poor Dave like He did on Pharaoh.
