Re-Awaken America

Five thousand people gathered at the appropriately-named Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Mannheim, PA last weekend. The Re-Awaken America Tour was in town. Speaking from the stage were Eric Trump (Don, Jr was busy), MyPillow guy Mike Lindell, former Trump Chief of Staff (and direct from prison) Michael Flynn and (also direct from prison) Simone Gold an anti-vaccine doctor convicted of assaulting police on Jan 6.

The highlight of the evening was a Zoom address from Donald J. Trump himself. Many attendees wore tee-shirts proclaiming “Jesus is My King. Trump is My President”. When I think of a Christ-like person in the world today, the first one that comes to mind is Donald J. Trump. Or possibly his buddy, Putin.

Re-Awaken America was not a political rally. It claimed to be a religious revival. After Trump’s address, one hundred attendees were so “taken by the Holy Spirit” that they were baptized (full immersion, of course) right then and there. Hearing Donnie speak makes me want to “cleanse my soul” as well.

“This election is not between Republican and Democrat. This election is about good versus evil. It is time to pick a side. Our Christian Nation is under attack by a “woke” global conspiracy.”

James Carville said, “Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh separated by a whole lot of Alabama.” Re-Awaken America certainly found fertile ground in the Keystone State.
