Nancy Feels Threatened
Written 11/20/24
In 2021, Congresswoman Nancy Mace supported the “Fairness For All Act”, a watered-down Republican version of the Equality Act. Nancy stated that she “strongly supports LGBTQ rights and equality. No one should be discriminated against.”
That was then. This is now. Yesterday, Nancy introduced a resolution the House of Representatives to ban transgender women from female bathrooms in the US Capitol Building. On January 3, 2025, the first transgender Congressperson, Sarah McBride will be sworn in and poor Nancy feels threatened. “This is about women and our right to privacy, to safety. I’m not going to allow biological men into women’s private spaces!”
Sarah responded as a MAGA person never would. “Every day Americans go to work with people who have life journeys different from their own and engage with them respectfully. I hope that members of Congress can muster that same kindness. We should be concentrating on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars.”
Good luck with that, Sarah. The majority of Americans elected a man who claimed that millions of sex-changed foreigners are storming across the border to take real Americans’ jobs.
Speaker Mike Johnson did a flip worthy of Simone Biles between yesterday morning and afternoon. In the AM, Mikey said, “We Republicans welcome all new members with open arms. We will accommodate the needs of every single member. We will treat all persons with dignity and respect.”
Who knows? You might need Sarah’s vote on a bill someday.
When Mar-a-Lago heard those comments, Mikey was brought back on the MAGA leash. In the PM, Mikey said, “Let me be unequivocally clear. A man is a man. A woman is a woman. A man cannot become a woman.”
Come January 3, we may see a Port-a-Potty outside the House of Representatives with Sarah’s name on it.
Classy move, Nancy and Mikey.
