Good News!

California wildfires are still burning out of control. Russian missiles continue to obliterate apartment buildings in Ukraine. Israeli bombs are falling on Gaza hospitals. Syria, Libya, and Yemen are potentially under the control of Islamic fundamentalists. There is no good news in the new year.

But there is! Her standard facial expression may be something between a pout and a grimace, but Melania is actually a “happy camper” in January, 2025. America has been on tenterhooks wondering how Barron adjusted to college life. In a recent interview on “Fox & Friends”, Melania spread the good news that Barron loves college, that New York City is a “great college town”, and that Barron is “very popular with the ladies”.

Of course, “Fox & Friends” did not follow up with:

“I would love college too if I lived in Trump Tower instead of some ratty dorm.”

“Tuscaloosa is known as a great college town. New York City has a few other things going for it along with NYU and Columbia.”

“If my Dad was the billionaire President of the USA, I’d be very popular with the ladies, too. Don Junior’s former main squeeze will be the new ambassador to Greece despite zero qualifications. Eric’s wife is chair of the RNC also despite zero qualifications. Donald himself is kind of gross, but being girlfriend/wife of a Trump boy gets you a great job.”

California, Kiev, and Gaza may be in flames but isn’t it great to know that Barron loves college. As NBC newscasts (and Melania) tell us, “There’s good news tonight!”

By the way, Melania revealed in that interview that she will be splitting her time as First Lady between the White House, Mar-a-Lago, and Trump Tower. Take that, Jill, Michelle, and Laura! First Lady is only a part-time responsibility for someone as talented and efficient as she is. After all, who else will keep the Mar-a-Lago staff in line and will pack Barron’s lunches?

Or possibly Melania wants to be wherever Donnie isn’t for the next four years.
