An algorithm must assume that if your e-mails repeatedly mention Donald Trump (as mine do), you are a fan of his. Every day, my in-box includes an issue of the Epoch Times. The ET is Fox News on steroids. Recent headlines include:
Scientists Debunk “Climate Emergency”
FBI Interfered In 2020 Election By Censoring Hunter Biden Story
CDC Reveals Babies Had Adverse Reactions to COVID Vaccine
Presumably, those “scientists” were not sweltering in all-time record 115 degree heat in Sacramento yesterday.
The Epoch Times recently expanded into book publishing. If the public will buy Jared Kushner’s book, there must be a market for right-wing fantasy. “The Real Story of January 6” is now available. Yesterday’s ET included this glowing review:
You have probably heard all of the misinformation surrounding Jan. 6 being promoted by mainstream media. But have you heard the real stories?
Have you heard about the Trump supporter who was beaten by D.C. police while lying on the ground, unconscious, and who later died? (Let’s not talk abut the 140 law enforcement officers who were injured by the rioters though.)
Have you heard about the suspicious actor who attacked the Capitol, smashed windows, and yet was never arrested, charged, or even placed on the FBI’s wanted list? (Obviously a “crisis actor” just like all those Sandy Hook parents who claimed that their kids were slaughtered)
Have you heard about the Jan. 6 defendant who was arrested and told that he would not receive a fair trial? (Wait a minute. All the defendants were White guys. White guys always get fair trials. Black and Brown guys are the ones who get screwed. It’s the American way.)
Why does mainstream media keep referring to Jan. 6 as an “insurrection,” while calling the months of violent riots across the United States, in which thousands of businesses were destroyed, “mostly peaceful protests”? (If an “insurrection” is defined as an attempt to overthrow the government, storming the Capitol to shut down Congress while chanting “Hang Mike Pence” sounds like an “insurrection” to me.)
You deserve to know the truth about Jan. 6. And The Epoch Times’ special report, The Real Story of January 6th, covers these crucial stories that mainstream media has completely ignored.
I would love to write for The Onion, but I lack the satiric humor gene. I could write for The Epoch Times. I possess the fantastical exaggeration gene. Maybe the ET appears in my in-box each day as a recruiting tool.
