Donnie vs. Nelson

Donnie likes to keep his boasts current. Before Easter, he sent out a text from an admirer stating, “It’s ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week they are trying to steal your property from you.” The Gospels missed the part where Jesus claimed that his penthouse was 10 times the size it actually was to get a better interest rate. No wonder Pilate had J.C. crucified.

Easter is over, so Donnie needed a new historical figure to compare himself to. With his NY hush money trial next week and the possibility of jail time as a result, Donnie chose Nelson Mandela. Mandela served 27 years in South African prisons for the “crime” of opposing apartheid. Paying hush money to a porn star and opposing apartheid are very similar.

Earlier this week, Donnie texted, “If this Partisan Hack wants to put me in the ‘clink’ for speaking the open and obvious TRUTH, I will gladly become a Modern Day Nelson Mandela — It will be my GREAT HONOR!” The “Partisan Hack” is the trial judge. It’s seldom a good idea to insult the guy who has the power to put you in the ‘clink’, but, of course, “That’s just Trump being Trump”.

Donnie and Nelson have so much in common. Both were raised in rural poverty, worked their way through college, became politically active protesting racial discrimination, were tried in a “kangaroo court’ and served nearly three decades in prison.

You don’t agree with the comparison? Try these Trumpian “alternate facts”:

Queens, NY was kind of rural and poor when Donnie was growing up.

Donnie spent his time away from his college studies playing golf and winning enough bets to cover his tuition.

Donnie has always protested discrimination against rich White people.

Donnie is facing four trials at the same time right now. Mandela only had one at a time.

Donnie hasn’t served any time in prison, but his first two marriages were “hard time”.

Clearly, Donnie has had it even tougher than Nelson. Let’s send that Nobel Peace Prize to Mar-a-Lago.
