Donnie for Nobel Prize?

My brain exploded when I heard that Donald Trump (yes, that Donald Trump) was nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize.

Tennessee Republican (there’s a surprise) congresswoman Claudia Tenney cited the “historic” Abraham Accords Treaty that was signed during his presidency. Burnishing her long shot credentials for the Vice Presidential slot on the 2024 Trump ticket this week, Claudia stated on Fox News (where else?):

“Donald Trump was instrumental in facilitating the first new peace agreements in the Middle East in almost 30 years. For decades, bureaucrats, foreign policy ‘professionals’, and international organizations insisted that additional Middle East peace agreements were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Trump proved that to be false.”

What rock has Claudia been living under since Oct 7? There’s an all-out war going on in Gaza. 1,500 Israelis and 25,000 Palestinians have died. That is scarcely a “resolution to the Israeli — Palestinian conflict”.

You can’t appear on Fox News without taking a shot at Joe Biden. It’s a rule. Claudia got in her dig:

“Now more than ever, when Joe Biden’s weak leadership on the international stage is threatening our country’s safety and security, we must recognize President Trump for his strong leadership and his efforts to achieve world peace.”

What rock has Claudia been living under since then-President Trump scuttled the Iran Nuclear Agreement? How about his “love affair” with Kim Jong Un that failed to stop North Korea from missile tests? How was “world peace” achieved when Donnie placed tariffs on steel from Canada? Iran, North Korea, and Canada are equally dangerous to America’s safety and security.

Claudia noted support for Donnie’s Nobel Peace Prize from Benjamin Netanyahu. When the Abraham Accords were signed, he said, “This will ultimately end the Arab-Israeli conflict, once and for all.” 25,000 dead Palestinians would disagree, Benji.

American presidents have won the Nobel Peace Prize in the past. Theodore Roosevelt won for brokering an end to the Russo-Japanese War. Woodrow Wilson won for his Fourteen Points that brought peace (for a while) after WW I. Barack Obama won for no apparent reason.

If Donnie wins the presidency in 2024, I may move to Canada. If Donnie wins the Nobel Peace Prize in 2024, I may move to another planet.
