Consistency

Donald J. Trump is nothing if not consistent.

Donnie was in Schnecksville, PA (of all places) last Saturday for a rally attended by more than 40,000 (according to Donnie) or by 4,000 tops (according to local media). Donnie recited his Greatest Hits — the border, the “Biden Crime Family”, the “rigged” 2020 election, and his courageous stand against the Justice System so that we humble citizens won’t have to do so.

That was the same old song. The crowd lapped it up. Then, Donnie tossed in something new. Pennsylvania will choose a US Senator in November. The Democratic incumbent, Bob Casey, is running for a fourth term. His Republican rival, Dave McCormick, is unopposed in the upcoming primary. Donnie said (in his typically eloquent manner), “I’m giving my endorsement to David McCormick tonight. He runs a good ship. He’s a smart guy who was a very successful guy. He’s given up a lot to do this.”

This is not McCormick’s first run for the Senate. He was a GOP candidate in 2022. In that primary, Donnie endorsed the incredibly unqualified Dr Oz who went on to win the primary but soundly lose the general election.

Here’s what Donnie said about Dave McCormick in 2022. “He is the candidate of special interests and globalists and the Washington establishment. He’s a RINO (Republican In Name Only)!”

What could have caused Donnie to change his mind about McCormick?

Money. McCormick has a ton of it as CEO of an international hedge fund. He is self-funding his campaign which is really convenient since the Pennsylvania State Republican Committee and the Republican National Senatorial Committee have essentially zero funds after paying Donnie’s legal bills. There are slickly-produced McCormick commercials all over local TV.

Dave McCormick went from being a (Boo! Hiss!) globalist in 2022 to a “smart guy who runs a good ship” in 2024. That’s consistent, Donnie. America needs more “good ship” runners in the Senate.
